Nice: India innovates for the whole world and for a sustainable future, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while addressing the Bharat Innovates Summit in France. French President Emmanuel Macron too is attending the Summit.
While addressing the summit, Modi stated that India and France have a special partnership, one forged with connection, conviction, innovation, inspiration and shared vision. The prime minister in his address urged the world nations to design and develop in India as innovation is in India's DNA. India has emerged not as consumer of solutions but as contributor to solutions in the world, Modi said.
French President Macron stated that India and France have a true partnership in critical sectors like AI and climate change. Macron further said that there is scope to expand bilateral cooperation in civil nuclear energy sector. The president also remarked that France respected India's Make-in-India initiative.
Modi is in France as part of his six day tour of France and Slovakia, with the Summit being a highlight of the visit. The Summit brings India's innovation ecosystem to the global stage and is being conducted from June 14- June 16 at Nice in France.
